New Hampshire License Application
- Residents and Non-residents can either apply online or fill out and submit the New Hampshire Adjuster Application.
- If you are a resident, you will have to pass the Adjuster Exam administered by Prometric.
- If you are a non-resident and you either already hold an adjuster license in your home state or have 6 months of adjusting experience, then you do not need to take the New Hampshire exam.
Reciprocity
New Hampshire grants reciprocal licensing privileges to anyone holding a license from their home state. If your home state does not license adjusters, you must have six months adjusting experience.
Maintaining Your License
- The New Hampshire Adjuster license is a two-year license that can be renewed online via NIPR.
- Every two years, residents and some non-residents must complete 20 hours of continuing education.
- If a non-resident’s home state has a CE requirement, then he or she only needs to meet that state’s requirement in order to remain licensed as an adjuster in New Hampshire. If a non-resident’s home state does not require any CE, then he or she must fulfill the 20 hours of CE required in New Hampshire.
- For the first renewal, residents’ adjuster exam scores will count for their CE credits, and non-residents are exempt from any CE requirement. After the first renewal the usual CE requirements for residents and non-residents go into effect.
License Fees
- Initial Licensing and Application Fee: $75
- Biennial License Renewal Fee: $75
- Make checks payable to “State of NH Insurance Department.”
