Become an Illinois Insurance Adjuster

Licensing Rules and Regulations for Illinois Claims Adjusters

AdjusterPro's Bottom-line: Illinois does not license insurance adjusters. Employees of insurance companies handling claims in Illinois are not subject to licensure.

AdjusterPro's Career Recommendation: Illinois residents interested in independent catastrophe adjusting should consider obtaining a non-resident Indiana, Texas or Florida adjuster license.  Because of the ease and speed of the licensing process in Indiana, AdjusterPro recommends that Illinois residents obtain their Indiana license and designate Indiana as their home state.  This will give adjusters the reciprocity and benefits of the Indiana resident license.  Please see our Indiana page for more details.
