Adjuster License Requirements
To become a licensed Delaware insurance adjuster, individuals must:
- Be 18 years of age.
NOTICE: "No adjuster's license shall be required for any adjuster sent into this State on behalf of an insurer for the investigation or adjustment of a particularly unusual or extraordinary loss, or series of losses, resulting from a catastrophe common to all such losses; provided that such adjuster shall furnish to the Commissioner written notice within 10 calendar days of any such catastrophic insurance adjustment work. Adjuster Exam Registration

Delaware License Application
Resident must submit:
- Online application and test results (test results are submitted automatically by Pearson Vue)
- State Police Criminal Report (fax to 302-736-7906)
- $75 application fee
Non-residents must submit:
- If licensed in HOME state where an exam has been taken,
- Online application
- $75 application fee
- If licensed in any OTHER state (not home state) where an exam has been taken,
- Application Form 2A
- $75 application fee
- If NOT licensed in any other state,
- Test results (these will be submitted automatically by Pearson Vue)
- Application Form 2A
- State Police Criminal Report (fax to 302-736-7906)
- $75 application fee
Reciprocity
Delaware is reciprocal with every state that has a license.
Maintaining Your License
- Continuing education is required for Delaware resident licensees only. 9 General and 3 Ethics hours are required for the two-year reporting period.
- Non-residents need only to be compliant with their home state’s CE requirements.
- This license is good for two years and is renewable with a fee of $50 for residents, $75 for non-residents.

- Residents and Non-residents who are licensed in their home state may renew their licenses online via NIPR. Non-residents who do not have a license in their home state must submit a hard copy renewal application.
- Submit address changes online via NIPR.
License Fees
- Initial Licensing and Application Fee: $75.
- License Renewal Fee: $50 for residents, $75 for non-residents.
